Arc En Ciel

Sleeps up to 10

One of the most beautiful and elegant houses in the Caribbean, spectacularly situated between the glorious Piton, Arc en Ciel is a place for indulgence in style and give in to the excellent service of its resident staff.

This luxurious villa has been imaginatively designed to a very high standard by architect Lane Pettigrew, who has also created the interior design with hand made furniture from Honduras. It has been constructed as a number of individual pavilions connected by walkways. The house is situated in an extensive, landscaped garden that has a wide variety of tropical flowers and trees which, with the outrageous backdrop of the Pitons, makes for an unforgettable wedding location. Arc en Ciel is extremely spacious, complete with five impressive bedrooms and the formal Great Room which opens out onto a spectacular platform gazebo, where guests can dine alfresco with the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea and the Pitons. However what perhaps makes the house so visually stunning is the pool areas (there are three!): the main infinity pool occupies one side of the house, weaving its way under a low bridge to a stone cave with a waterfall. Considering the resident chef Michael, was recently voted the best on the island you may not want to venture out for dinner, but if you do there are excellent restaurants at the nearby hotels.

Destination introduction

The south of St Lucia is where the attractions are more natural, and nowhere more so than the dramatic twin peaks of The Pitons that dominate the skyline in the south west. There is also a spectacular rainforest with its diverse flora and fauna, and even a drive-in volcano, which are both very popular. Here the pace of life is unhurried and this is what some would say is the real St Lucia that is still virtually untouched by commercialism. This can mean that local restaurants and shops are not as sophisticated in the north but does mean that you will get a real flavour of Island life. The best beaches are at Anse Cochon, Anse Chastanet and Jalousie Bay – directly between the Pitons.
