Guana Island is an 850 acre wildlife sanctuary with the richest fauna for an island of its size anywhere in the West Indies. There are at least 50 species of birds which may be regularly seen and there are also 14 species of reptiles and amphibians – none dangerous – such as lizards, iguanas, turtles and frogs.
