Turtle Nest

Sleeps up to: 4

This beachfront cottage constructed from attractive purple-heart wood, has an enviable location, on the famous Mullins Bay.

From the outside Turtle Nest looks like a charming chattel-style wooden beach hut. Sitting amidst tropical gardens, its dark brown and green hues give the feel of a rainforest eco-lodge. Inside it is a different story: cool white walls complement stylish wooden furniture and with air conditioning throughout, a plasma screen television and a broadband connection, it becomes obvious, this is no simple beach hut. The cottage is completely enclosed and has sea views from both bedrooms and the wonderfully romantic dining veranda. The X factor however, comes from its extensive beach frontage on one of Barbados’s most desirable stretches of sand – Mullins Beach.

Destination introduction

The Barbados ‘Platinum Coast’ extends from St James to the south, through St Peter and incorporates some of the most beautiful bays on the island. In particular Gibbs Beach and Mullins Beach are true CV favourites. It is here that many of our beachfront villas open directly onto picture perfect white sand. Speightstown is the area’s centre for shopping and it is also home to Barbados’s only marina – Port St Charles. To the north of Port St Charles is Six Men’s Bay and Shermans.
