This excellent beach cottage is set right on the edge of Mullins Beach overlooking the sparkling Caribbean Sea. With far reaching sea views and direct beach access, this very popular villa is the perfect house for families and beach lovers.

Furnished comfortably with a good use of pastel fabrics, Aquamarine is a delightful light and airy beach house. Pride of place is the spacious covered terrace with an informal dining area, which is the ideal spot for an al fresco lifestyle, perfect for breakfast, lunch and sundowners. There is also an uncovered and furnished sundeck for sunbathing and steps down onto the beach. The open-plan living area is pleasantly furnished and has a homely feel and sliding doors onto the terrace. The lack of a swimming pool is not a problem as the swimming from Mullins Beach is some of the best on the island.

"We love Mullins Beach and Aquamarine's location is second to none. Just a short stroll along the sand and you are at the famous Mullins Beach Bar, don't miss the pan-fried flying-fish and lemon scented rice. Hawksbill and leatherback turtles frequent this spot, too - laying eggs as they do, up and down the coast. Thanks to their frequent presence and the calm, clear water, snorkeling here is reliably rewarding. To pass the time at higher speed, if you must, water toys are available for rent all along the strand. Come late afternoon, you can't go wrong ordering up a sundowner and staring at the unbroken horizon. But keep an eye on the foreground, too - just in case a posse of baby turtles decides to make an early break for the surf."

Destination introduction

The Barbados ‘Platinum Coast’ extends from St James to the south, through St Peter and incorporates some of the most beautiful bays on the island. In particular Gibbs Beach and Mullins Beach are true CV favourites. It is here that many of our beachfront villas open directly onto picture perfect white sand. Speightstown is the area’s centre for shopping and it is also home to Barbados’s only marina – Port St Charles. To the north of Port St Charles is Six Men’s Bay and Shermans.
