The parish of St Lucy is the northern-most area of Barbados. Saint Lucy is a peninsula known for being the only parish which is surrounded on three sides by the ocean to the north, east and west. To the south lies St Peter. As the crow-flies, St Lucy is also the most distant area of Barbados from the airport, making it one of the lesser-populated and quieter parts of the island. The serenity of Maycock’s Bay and rolling hills of Half Moon Fort are a million miles away from the glitz of St James. The closest major town is Speightstown to the south.
