Nestled in ten acres of luxuriant gardens, high on a ridge commanding breathtaking panoramas of the sea, Fustic House is among the most enchantingly exclusive homes in Barbados. It is perfect for family reunions and a wonderful setting for a wedding.

After two centuries, Fustic House still retains the rare qualities of rural solitude and rustic charm. Accommodation is split over three separate buildings – The Main House (the former farm house of the estate dating from the 18th century),The Messel Wing (named after the designer who rebuilt the house in the 1970s) and the Plantation Wing – each of which has its own courtyards, verandahs and private terraces. The décor and furnishings throughout are elegant and in keeping with a plantation house of this quality. Within the grounds there is a small lake known as the Duck Pond and an unusual lagoon style swimming pool, quarried out of the coral stone, surrounded by terracing and shaded by established trees. A short stroll through tropical gardens brings you to a sandy beach.

With the addition of the new Pavilion, offering the 7th suite and a large reception room for well-being services and business functions, plus a state of the art home cinema, this truly private Estate can now accommodate 14 adults, with 5 star cuisine and service.

On arrival in Barbados, we can arrange to have you met before Immigration and transport you to Fustic via luxury Bentley or helicopter.*

Our executive chef, Kenroy Hunte, is happy to  discuss your culinary preferences. You can dine wherever you like in the house or estate.

Our lagoon swimming pool has its own sun deck with panoramic views, where our butler will serve you drinks at any time.

There is a free personal laundry service and your suite is serviced with fresh linen and towels every day.

Fustic is  equipped with wireless high speed Internet access, Satellite TV, over Internet telephony with unlimited land line calls to Europe and North America, fax and DVD players.

Our local beach has a diving platform for your use 50 metres off shore.

Fustic guests enjoy exclusive use of the Port St Charles Yacht Club with its sandy beaches, restaurant, pool, bar and showers etc.

Destination introduction

The parish of St Lucy is the northern-most area of Barbados. Saint Lucy is a peninsula known for being the only parish which is surrounded on three sides by the ocean to the north, east and west. To the south lies St Peter. As the crow-flies, St Lucy is also the most distant area of Barbados from the airport, making it one of the lesser-populated and quieter parts of the island. The serenity of Maycock’s Bay and rolling hills of Half Moon Fort are a million miles away from the glitz of St James. The closest major town is Speightstown to the south.
