Oyster Bay

What this villa lacks by way of the size of its garden, it more than makes up for by its beautiful beachfront setting, great swimming pool and terrace area. A sun worshipper’s dream come true. Ideal for families.

Located almost half-way up the West Coast, this cheerful beachfront property is just steps away from a most glorious beach and great sea swimming – a favourite anchor spot for passing yachts. The cosy living room with wicker furnishings and colourful pottery has double arches to the formal dining area with bar, and triple arched French doors lead to the pool terrace. A low wall by the spacious, paved pool terrace affords uninterrupted views to the sea. The pool and sun terrace are the focal point of the property and provide plenty of outdoor space. There is a good-sized swimming pool and a dining pavilion with bar and barbecue to one side of the terrace area.

Guest Book

"Oyster Bay is a very comfortable home with great outdoor space. Most families will spend nearly all their time around the generous sun terrace, in and out of the large swimming pool, and of course on the excellent stretch of beach just in front of the house. Most of the cook's tasty meals are taken at the dining gazebo, but for restaurants, try to the north - The Terrace at Cobblers Cove Hotel, Mangoes by the Sea in Speightstown, La Mer at Port St Charles and The Fish Pot at Little Good Harbour. To the south try Lone Star."

- The CV Caribbean Team.

Destination introduction

With an almost uninterrupted, six mile stretch of white sand beach, St James truly is Barbados’s ‘Platinum Coast’. Famous for its beachfront mansions, pristine beaches and luxury hotels, St James incorporates the majority of the island’s west coast and is home to three of Barbados’s world famous private estates – Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland and Sugar Hill – with their championship golf courses and facilities. The area’s commercial centre is Holetown, a charming area with fine restaurants and shopping. Directly to the south of Holetown are Sandy Lane Beach and the Paynes Bay area extending down to Fitts Village, Derricks and Prospect. ‘The Garden’ is an exclusive enclave to the north of Holetown, by Lower Carlton and Weston.
