This highly desirable villa has recently been completely refurbished and extended to offer guests understated luxury with a natural and semi open-air style. It is a perfect villa for families or groups of friends holidaying together.

Bluff House, reached by a sweeping driveway, is set in more than an acre of mature tropical gardens within an exclusive residential enclave just north of the Sandy Lane hotel. It is an elegant coral stone villa with bleached timber and marble floors. It has a cool and calm ambiance complemented by a neutral colour scheme and elegant furnishings. At the centre of the house is a stylish entertaining space amidst lush, tropical plants, which opens to the pool deck, from where there are glorious views through the palms to the sea. The focal area of the villa is the large swimming pool and terrace area, which sits amongst the gardens, and there is a private pathway to the Sandy Lane beach where sun loungers are provided.

Guest Book

"The ideal west coast villa and location - privacy and seclusion but with access through to the idyllic Sandy Lane beach. Also very close to Holetown, in fact if you head to famous 'Tides' in Holetown for dinner one evening, you can leave the car and walk off some of the fantastic calories you will inevitably devour."

Destination introduction

With an almost uninterrupted, six mile stretch of white sand beach, St James truly is Barbados’s ‘Platinum Coast’. Famous for its beachfront mansions, pristine beaches and luxury hotels, St James incorporates the majority of the island’s west coast and is home to three of Barbados’s world famous private estates – Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland and Sugar Hill – with their championship golf courses and facilities. The area’s commercial centre is Holetown, a charming area with fine restaurants and shopping. Directly to the south of Holetown are Sandy Lane Beach and the Paynes Bay area extending down to Fitts Village, Derricks and Prospect. ‘The Garden’ is an exclusive enclave to the north of Holetown, by Lower Carlton and Weston.
