Spectacularly located on the edge of a 20 mile lake which lies between the snow-capped high Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert, Kasbah du Lac is one of the most luxurious and finest villas in southern Morocco. With its heated swimming pool, tennis court, stylish bedroom suites and full time staff offering excellent personal service, Kasbah du Lac is an unforgettable experience.

Arriving at Kasbah du Lac one cannot fail to be impressed by this exotic yet traditional Moorish building with its captivating views and timeless charm. Four separate Kasbahs are joined by external walls creating a large, luxuriant, mature oasis-style garden, fountain and internal courtyard. Maintained to the highest standards, there is a choice of reception rooms and six private bedroom suites within the turreted Kasbahs most with terraces for sunbathing. Guests can thus enjoy both private living as well as being all together in the warm and welcoming environment of the Kasbah. Air-conditining throughout and in the cooler months central heating and fireplaces conmplete with log fires ensure every comfort.

There is ample choice of places to dine, be it in the softly furnished dining room, in one of the couryards with outside fireplace or one of the many canlelit jasmine scented terraces or barbecue areas clad with bougainvilleae and honeysuckle, each with striking views across the lake. In addition to relasing by the full-size heated swimming pool, or other activities available nearby for those wishing to explore the area.

Near to the Kasbah there are many charming "undiscovered" oasis villages and old Kasbah towns. The housekeeper, gardener and caretaker make every effort to ensure that guests are looked after to the highest standards with every attention to detail and the resident chef prepares some of the finest French and Moroccan cuisine using mainly organic produce. A stay at Kasbah du Lac cannot be too highly recommended at any time of the year, be it during the summer months with its healthy dry heat or in the winter when the days are warm and the evenings are cool. We know that its enchanting and uplifting atmosphere and high levels of service will ensure the ultimate relaxation for our guests.

Your Location

Amenities: The fascinating town of Ouarzazate, where the ancient culture of the Berber people meets Hollywood is just 20 kilometres away. The film museum is definately worth a visit, as is the Kasbah and the markets. There are some nice restaurants to sample for an evening out as well.

Places of Interest: The fortified town of Ait Benhaddou, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, is within easy reach.  It is also worth considering a trip to the Dades valley, and of course the desert.  It is possible to arrange a night uner the stars in the desert.
