A sensational property set in an oasis of palms, just outside Marrakech, with private tennis court, sensational (heated) pool area and a view of the Atlas Mountains. With staff to totally spoil you, comfort and service are a top priority in this 1001 Nights blend of Morocco, India and the Orient.

Designed by a top French architect working closely with its artistic owners this exotic palace is perfect for a restful holiday. This fascinating property, set amongst extensive and colourful gardens of roses, palms, olives and apricots, consists of the Riad House and the Doll’s House which are linked by a large sitting room and fabulous pool. Each contains numerous salons, nooks, crannies, grottoes, staircases, hide-aways and balconies as well as individually themed bedrooms: Jungle, Bonsai, Nursery and Tantra. Two maids attend to every whim. Entertaining and culinary delights are legendary with its full-time Moroccan chef and pastry cook preparing local and International cuisine. Health-conscious guests will enjoy the fabulous home-made bread, muesli and yogurt for breakfast and the full-course vegetarian lunches.

Long, lingering meals are eaten out of doors or in true Moroccan tradition on cushions in the different sitting rooms. Soporific days spent at the mosaic pool area can be combined with sight-seeing and “souking” in Marrakech. Or enjoy a day trip to the beaches and wind-surfing at Essaouria - famous for its fresh seafood – on the Atlantic coast. The House Manager/Concierge can arrange trips to the deep south, with an overnight stay in the desert, in a Bedouin tent. A unique and wonderful place to stay which smaller parties of up to a maximum of 8 people can also enjoy at a reduced cost outside the Christmas, New Year and Easter weeks.

Your Location

Amenities: The fascinating and lively city of Marrakech is a short drive away where there are many renowned restaurants to sample and cultural sites to explore. For shoppers the souks are intriguing, but don't miss the modern shopping area of Gueliz where some of the more upmarket shops can be seen.

Places of interest: The stunning scenary and traditional villages of the Atlas Mountains are well worth a visit and can be easily accessed for a day trip. Exploration can either be by car, on foot or by mule.

Beaches: The nearest beach is at Essaouira, a three hour journey by car and a full day drip. As well as the beach Essaouira has a diverse history to explore, the Portuguese occupation of the city has left European style fortifications and buildings vying with Moroccan style market areas and housing, quite an eclectic mix and worth a visit.

Destination introduction

The rich history of Marrakech is reflected in its various quarters. the Medina, above which rises the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, the emblem of the city, corresponds to the old town. Place Jemaa El-Fna, the hub of all activity, is its heart. Within the ramparts are the souks (north of Place Jemaa El-Fna), the kasbah and the mellah (the Jewish quarter). Gueliz in the northwest, is the new town laid out by Marhsal Lyautey under the Protectorate. It is filled with Western style offices and businesses.

Avenue Mohamed V is the district's main thoroughfare. Extending Gueliz in  the southwest is Hivernage, a verdant quarter with many hotels that also dates from the Protectorate. The district is bordered on its western side by the Menara Gardens, and on its eastern side by the walls of the medina.
