Villa Ezzahra surely represents the ultimate in elegant holiday accommodation. Originally built as a family retreat, Ezzahra is hidden away in magnificent gardens that feature a gorgeous swimming pool, 16m x 6m, with double and single sun beds, couches and huge umbrellas, and the added luxury of a traditional Berber tent. Set amidst the extensive lawns are various outdoor amusements including a paddle tennis court, outdoor chess and junior badminton. The house itself is exquisite; a haven of comfort expressed in sumptuous furnishings and inspired decoration.

Air-conditioned throughout in summer and with heating and fireplaces for the winter months, Ezzahra sleeps up to 14 guests in spacious and colourful en suite double bedrooms, with accommodation for a further two guests in the unique Owner’s Pavilion with its own private plunge pool and terrace. Those who seek privacy will find it in the many quiet corners of the house, garden and terraces, while immensely comfortable sitting and dining areas provide the perfect setting for more convivial moments. Evening drinks on the roof terrace, with a sunset view, lead into the pleasures of the House Chef’s wonderful evening meals of Moroccan and International cuisine at its best. Plentifully supplied with books and indoor games, the villa also has its own cinema or meeting room and, of course, internet access. Every requirement for fitness, leisure or shopping and sightseeing activities can be met by the villa’s own staff, and the villa even has its own hairdressing salon in the massage and beauty centre.

A permanent staff of 12, led by Maria, the house manager, provides a discreet and thoughtful service throughout the day and nothing is too much trouble. This is indeed a fabulous retreat for a family, or a group of friends, seeking a very special holiday.

Activities

The centre of Marrakech is an 8 km drive, there are several golf courses within easy reach, horse-riding facilities, quad-biking, and hiking opportunities in the Atlas Mountains are just an hours drive.

Your Location

Amenities:  The fascinating and lively city of Marrakech is a short drive away where there are many renowned restaurants to sample and cultural sites to explore. For shoppers the souks are intriguing, but don't miss the modern shopping area of Gueliz where some of the more upmarket shops can be seen.

Places of interest: The stunning scenary and traditional villages of the Atlas Mountains are well worth a visit and can be easily accessed for a day trip. Exploration can either be by car, on foot or by mule.

Beaches: The nearest beach is at Essaouira, a three hour journey by car and a full day drip. As well as the beach Essaouira has a diverse history to explore, the Portuguese occupation of the city has left European style fortifications and buildings vying with Moroccan style market areas and housing, quite an eclectic mix and worth a visit.
