Dar Tamazerte is more than a beautiful, luxurious villa – it is an experience; one that will remain in your memory. Perfect for a restorative and relaxing holiday, ideal for a wedding or special celebration of any kind, the villa is privately-owned and only available for rent in the absence of the owners. Glowing with the warm colours of traditional Moroccan house architecture, the villa is set in a lush 1.5 acre sub-tropical garden of lawns and established fruit and olive trees, with sublime views of the great Atlas Mountain range. Shaded outdoor terraces include a stunning roof terrace where outdoor meals become magical occasions and lounging around on comfortable seating, just absorbing the view, is no hardship at all. A large private swimming pool and terrace can be enjoyed at any time of year, and is flanked by glamorous curtained pergolas.

When it comes to mealtimes at the villa, thanks to the excellent service provided by the staff, wonderful meals can be served wherever the guests prefer, indoors or out. Dishes of local and international cuisine will be available, and are always beautifully and tastefully served, making every meal an occasion.

Destination introduction

The rich history of Marrakech is reflected in its various quarters. the Medina, above which rises the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, the emblem of the city, corresponds to the old town. Place Jemaa El-Fna, the hub of all activity, is its heart. Within the ramparts are the souks (north of Place Jemaa El-Fna), the kasbah and the mellah (the Jewish quarter). Gueliz in the northwest, is the new town laid out by Marhsal Lyautey under the Protectorate. It is filled with Western style offices and businesses.

Avenue Mohamed V is the district's main thoroughfare. Extending Gueliz in  the southwest is Hivernage, a verdant quarter with many hotels that also dates from the Protectorate. The district is bordered on its western side by the Menara Gardens, and on its eastern side by the walls of the medina.
