Cortijo De La Jarilla

Reached via a track, four kilometers from the road the Cortijo offers total privacy, and is cleverly arranged over 3 interconnecting properties so smaller and larger parties, of extended family and friends can be comfortably accommodated. The main crop of this working farm comes from some 3000 almond trees and 300 olive and fig trees. With three small vineyards having just been planted, wine making will begin later this year using blends of Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Macabeo and Pedro Ximenez, a local white similar to Fino. You will also find endless opportunities for bird watching and walks around the property and there are four typical restaurants within half an hour on the Contraviesa ridge. Several good beaches, one featuring a restaurant/chiringuito, are with a 45 minute reach by car. The property has its own helicopter pad meaning you can get to the property in 30 minutes from Malaga.

There is a public golf course in Motril, on the coast, just over an hour from La Jarilla which also is home to a marina with an excellent restaurant, and a beach. Granada, a city full of character and the renowned Alhambra is just an hour away, as are Generalife and Albaracin, and the gypsy caves, all well worth exploring.
