| Dating back to the 17th century, the Masseria Pizzariello, once a fortified residence on a country estate, is now a well loved and spacious family home. Surrounded on one side by olive groves and only 10 minutes drive from the coast it is an ideal place for family gatherings. The driveway leads you to a central courtyard with steps up to the first floor entrance of the main house. Furnished in a classic, traditional Italian style, the large and elegant sitting room and dining room are well suited to large groups, while a large terrace is perfect for those who like to dine al fresco in the summer. For larger groups of up to 12 people, a comfortable guest cottage is available for an extra cost. Although the nearest port of Taranto is known more for its industrial suburbs, in the historic city centre, the recently restored MARTA, the National Archeological Museum of Taranto, exhibits important and precious remains of Magna Grecia. Furthermore, some of the most attractive sites and beaches in Puglia are within an easy drive from the property. |
