| A view that embraces not one but two entirely separate countries. Better not try; just get on with enjoying the lazy pleasures for which Kentromadi is so well equipped. Situated in the secluded and very rural area of Kentromadi, yet only a few minutes drive to the amenities, entertainments and beaches of Kassiopi and St Stephano. Kentromadi is modern and minimalist in design, and must have one of the most amazing views of any house in the Mediterranean. Spread out like a living carpet below, the bays and headlands of Corfu, the mountain peaks and valleys of Albania, separated by a sheet of shimmering blue sea, all lie before you. Let the view be the backdrop to hours of amusement in the lovely swimming pool, or to long, stress-free meals on the dining terrace by the pool. When you look up from your book, as you curl up on one of the comfortable sofas in the sitting room, with its two walls of French windows, the view is there again, its appearance changing according to the time of day. Anyone who likes to walk or even just stroll, for some gentle exercise, will love the surroundings of the house; the quiet olive groves punctuated by tall cypress trees, where the birds and lizards are incredibly tame, a sure sign that this area is remarkably unfrequented. |
