| The superb swimming pool is beautifully placed to enjoy that view, framed by the mature trees and shrubs that are the pride of the remarkably green-fingered owner. Kasomitria is built across several levels, enabling each separate apartment to enjoy glorious views from its private balcony. Some of the apartments also have shady terraces facing the hillside behind. The owner’s gardening skills are again in evidence in the cascades of flowers and shrubs that are such a feature of this property. He was also responsible for the use of traditional skills in creating the beautiful beach pebble-patterned pool terrace – a concept that has greatly influenced the design of later properties in this area. There is also a small separate pool for children. The property benefits this year from a modest facelift, with new bedroom and sitting room furniture and modern sun beds. With a communal barbecue area and a private tennis court – more suitable perhaps for amateur players! – Kasomitria is ideal for families or couples, but it is worth noting that, if rented as a whole, it would make the perfect setting for a large party wishing to holiday all together. Such group holidays are growing in popularity all the time and early bookings are essential. One of Corfu’s loveliest beaches, Kerasia, is very close by, and the boating along this stretch of coastline is unbeatable. |
