| The main house, with its traditional shuttered windows and tiled roof, is accessed through a gravelled courtyard with beds of lavender and other shrubs and looks down over the swimming pool and lawns. Within the courtyard there is a paved area, which can be covered, and a barbecue. The guest house is accessed off the courtyard. The main house has been carefully restored and retains a number of original features with beamed ceilings, tiled and stone floors, complemented by contemporary fixtures and fittings. The furnishings are a mixture of modern and traditional pieces. The ground floor of the property consists of an entrance which leads to a well-equipped kitchen with a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The décor is vibrant with salmon pink walls contrasting with the beamed ceiling and the kitchen is open plan to the living room, which has a traditional open fireplace and comfortable furnishings. The separate dining room has a table that will seat up to 12 people. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three twin bedrooms (can be made up as doubles), one with a shower room en suite and the other two with full bathrooms en suite. The self-contained guest house is set across the courtyard and comprises a ground floor of a small equipped kitchen and a living room where there are two single beds. On the first floor there is a twin bedroom with a shower room en suite. The swimming pool is set amongst lawns below the house and on one side is a covered, furnished seating area that provides welcome shade from the sun. There is also a separate shower. |
