Destination introduction
Es Cubells is just a small village, and relatively new by island standards, owing its establishment to a Carmelite friar who was sent to Ibiza from mainland Spain in 1854. Straggling along the cliff top, it has a few facilities such as shops, and a beach that has a steep access road and remains fairly quiet as a result. The four hundred metre stretch of shore, with pebble beach and rocky coves, offers great snorkeling and, when the wind is right, good body-surfing. There is one excellent fish restaurant on the beach.
