Destination Information

Once a small village situated at the mouth of the Guadiaro river Sotogrande has evolved in to a glamourous tourist destination enjoying an excellent location, beautiful surrounds and enviable climate. Boasting excellent tourist infrastructure, a harbour home to grand yachts and sea-craft, beaches, the polo club, golf courses including Valderamma, once host of the Volvo Masters and the Ryder Cup and a choice of bars and restaurants Sotogrande has much to offer. The estuary can be explored via a series of pathways and is surely a haven for nature lovers as wildlife, in particular migratory birds congregate here before their trip across the straight to Africa for the winter.

Beaches

From Sotogrande it is possible to explore a variety of beaches, those closest include:

Sotogrande (El Cucrucho): Black volanic sand with moderate waves (3.8km long, 22m deep) this is a popular beach.

Torreguadirio: Black volcanic sand with calm waters (2.3km long, 22m deep) here you may see fishermen working and views to the marina of Sotogrande.
