Stretching for a hundred miles on Portugal’s southern shore, the glorious Algarve beaches put soft sand at your feet from headland to spectacular rocky headland. Behind them are some of Europe’s finest golf and sporting facilities... horseriding at the coast and in the country, and watersports galore from a treasure trove of resorts.

From stylish Quinta do Lago in the east to the region’s longest beach at Armacao de Pera, the picturesque port of Carvoeiro and, almost at the western tip, to pretty Praia da Luz, our range goes from pure relaxation to action packed fun, and from beachfront apartments to luxury villas - most with a private pool.

Worth to see

Visit to Ria Formosa Natural Park, home to a variety of rare birds and flanked by beautiful sandy beaches.

A day at Olhao, featuring Armona island and Fuzeta beach makes for a fantastic day out, home to a fabulous fish market, one of the most animated in the Algarve.

Beaches

The Algarve Boasts numerous sandy beaches and bays set against dramatic cliffs and rock formations.

Shopping

Algarve markets are popular for locals and tourists alike. The large and well-known Saturday morning Gypsy Market in Loule and Wednesday morning market in Quarteira where you can buy everything from lace to pots to antiques. Most towns and villages have their own local markets selling fresh local produce.

Kids Activities A day out at one of the Algarve's famous water parks and zoo marine ensures fun for all the family.
Sports

Famously connected with Golf, the Algarve offers some of Europe's finest courses for all abilities. Golf lessons can be arranged at the Golf Academy or with an ex-PGA tour competitor.
