Looking down from the highest point of the northeast coastal road the eye is caught by the magnificient bay of Kerasia, lying below, a long straight stretch of pale pebbles edged by a sea of vivid colouring. It looks inaccessible, but in fact there is a road, from the harbour of St Stephano.
Kerasia is still an escapist’s dream. It is quiet, beautiful and has one of the loveliest beaches in the north east for swimming, but it should be noted that the beach does become noticeably busier in July and August.
