An authentic medieval village St-Saturin features ruins of a castle at one end, and an old windmill to the other, and boasts a choice of restaurants and a couple of boulangeries for those fresh croissants of a morning. Terraced medieval houses feature, with narrow streets passing through low vaulted passages beneath them. Surrounded by oak-forested hillsides, this is truffle country with a life-sized statue dedicated to Joseph Talon, lou rabasste, Pére de la Trufficulture, who was considered the "father of truffle raising" Behind the village is a lovely little lake formed from rainwater collected from the slopes of the Plateau de Vaucluse.
